Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've
learned about our family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world.
One of the goals of this web site is to help our family stay connected even though we live far apart.
I have to give credit to Aunt Theresa Becigneul for her work in compiling most of the data I'm working with. She
herself had help from her great Uncle Dominique who gathered a lot of information early on. She put together a book of our
family history and gave it out at her mother Lucille's (my Grandmother's) 100th birthday party. I myself am not what
you would call a researcher. Far from it. My ability is eclisped by those who dug deep into dusty old vaults and
combed old graveyards looking at tombstones. When you look at these pages I can only take a small credit for the
information they contain. The photos I have on these pages are some of the oldest I know of in our family. Remember
this is a web site under construction.
