Memories and Stories

Let me start by saying that I only knew Aunt Theresa for a short time. About 44years. But most of that time I was a self centered child, probably not to long ago. But also I  got married, was raising a family so life got in the way. In the time I was able to spend with Aunt Theresa most of it was mundane. She was a selfasured person to say the least. Being in charge all of her life she had to be. Oh I remember when I was young and old she wouldn't hesitate to correct me. Well in her later years she was much more patient with me. She was my father's sister and she told me a story about her youth that always sticks in my mind. When she was very young she fell deathly ill. I believe it was after swimming in the Detroit river in the summer. You see back in the days before public sanitation, well you get the picture. After that experience she went on her way toward serving God. I don't know if that was when she decided to become a nun but I think it was an influence. She spent her entire life in the service of others. And even in retirement she dedicated her life to the care of her mother Lucille and my father Raymond until they passed on. For that she will aways be remembered. Your the best Aunt Theresa and we'll all miss you. PS She also gave me the inscentive to start this web page. Love Lou
